MY NATURAL HAIR EXPERIENCE SO FAR •••

Hey lovelies,

One of my goal this month is taking more care of my hair, you can check out my other  goals and favourite On my previous post.

Natural hair has been trending  a lot for the last few years so here’s a break down on my first natural hair trial  -:

  • Get your starter pack right

Do some research first and the figure what works best for both your hair and your pocket, remember don’t go broke trying to look rich. I started out with coconut oil and water spray to just work around braiding my hair and get really defined curls. The most important thing when going natural is locking down the moisture and water + coconut oil is the best recipe ever.

  • Let your hair get enough vitamin D .

The main source of vitamin D is the sun so try and bask every once in a while it’s healthy too .

  • Eat enough  protein and more water

More protein means more strength and thickness to your hair so try and get more milk and some eggs in your daily diet. Water your hair both inside out so try drinking more water.

  • Do not apply heat on your hair.

The main reason for going natural is not having to blow-dry your hair let them curls pop and them edges grow

    • Do trim your edges  before going natural

This will help your hair to grow longer more this is the main reason why I decided to go natural so try n thank me later 😊.

Book review : The tea planters bride by Rosemary Rogers.

Finding  the perfect type of novels can be pretty tricky or can be love in the first sight. When I pick up a novel to read I always find myself trying to pick sides of certain personalities, like/dislike others and at the end just try and enjoy the setting of the book .personally am a huge fan of books set in the early ninetieth century and the emergent of women trying to conquer different obstacles and find love in the process. Today am going to share my amazing thoughts on the romance novel Rosemary Rogers the Tea Planters Bride.

I have only managed to read half the chapters in this novel since it has 32 chapters giving details on the life of one Celia Marianna Penmaris. Celia born of a Spanish gypsy mother and a British dad who is now orphaned and under care of Bishop Theo and wife Gertrude who have raised her in the ways of the church and always insist on her never letting her morals down. Celia feels as if she is living a double life when in her home at Aunt Gertrude’s house she feels as if gypsy blood line makes her a little different from the rest of her friends and family that mane of black hair , copper colored eyes and her olive complexion . She looks forward to marrying Ronald Winwood who is the manager of the tea plantation in Ceylon that her father left for her to inherit when she was of age, she always pictured the perfect life with Ronald and the life in the plantation where she could be herself but little did she know her father’s plans for her .

When Celia turned 18 her life suddenly took a turn since her father’s will dictated that she lives with her Wilhelmina Hamilton the Dowager Duchess of mill haven her father’s very much loved sister. She was not very happy about it since this would move her further from the love of her life Ronald Winwood , but saw it as an opportunity to get away from her aunt Gertrude who always saw the gypsy in her and she even sensed that her aunt had a dislike about her origins . Wilhelmina who was tall, beautiful with her auburn hair piled on top of her head and in her mid thirties, was unconventional and this made Celia like her more. Despite of her aunts enrage about the issue of Gertrude leaving Grange and going to London be brought up in the society Wilhelmina and Celia finally left for London .London was the city where there was different manners, different hours, different social etiquette and there innumerable fittings for most fashionable gowns for every conceivable occasion, Poor Celia had no time for herself as she spend most of the time training. She coped up faster and it was now time to put her training to practice. Willie noticed that Celia was too proper, to rigid coming from the unconventional environment she had been brought up in so she wondered on how to draw Celia out of her rigid lifestyle and make her enjoy life more.

She thought of her husband who was now in America and her step son Grant who was now in Paris ,she figured that since Celia was about to be introduced to the society she needed a handsome ,well mannered escort and that’s when she called grant back home . Grant accepted to help her step mum, whom he loved very much. Celia’s first party was more than she expected she saw no familiar face and she felt scared but kept thinking of what Marianna her gypsy self would have done, she would have loved the attention and all eyes gazing at her. She rarely had time to think about Ronald and even any time to herself her schedule was always filled with events from the Covent Garden Opera House to see a performance by Verdi’s la traviata to dancing with the Prince of Wales. Her life was in the lime light as she mingled with the crème de la crème in the society and even made an appearance in one of the newspapers with a headline an English rose makes her debut. Her aunt Gertrude back in Grange did not like that for a second she kept pestering bishop Theo about Celia’s life in London but Theo always calmed her down disclaiming that the info she saw in the newspapers was just gossip . In the ball Celia had met an old acquaintance that she saw in her past visits Miss Anthea Langbourne who she had been comfortable with and she had met a fine proper American man who Bishop Theo will once describe as a scholar and a theologian. When time came for Celia to go and visit her aunt in grange she asked Miss Anthea if she could accompany her so as to distract her aunt Gertrude so she could have an enjoyable weekend.

They arrived in Grange and as usual Aunt Gertrude had a lot of negative things to say but at least her uncle seemed happy to see her. To be continued next week as I try and finish up the rest of the chapters.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my view on Rosemary Roger’s novel the tea planters bride send me your views and suggestions on this post down on the comment section below have a lovely day ahead.

How to get back your appetite .

      Hey lovelies,

Hope y’all are having an amazing day and back to work because we all need some cash so as to move forward in this economy but more importantly we need food for energy .Today am gonna talk more about finishing the food on your plate and getting to having more appetite. I have been wanting to write a post on the benefits of pepper in improving ones appetite but I finally got the best post to incorporate that topic.

      • Add pepper to your daily meals

If your a huge fan of pepper you know the magic it does to your food. Just add some pepper mostly the fresh pepper in Kenya called bullet pepper it’s super sweet and make you wanna eat another plate.

      • Don’t drink too much water before meals

Drinking too much water before you eat fills you’re stomach fast thus making you lose your appetite abruptly which is not good. Also avoid too much  fleshy fruits such as watermolen.

      • Eat food while it’s still hot

It’s alway sweet when it’s sizzling hot since and also eating cold food can cause heart burn and stomach discomfort.

      • Eat when your hungry not just when it’s time.

It’s is said when your body is indeed of food eat then not when it’s lunch time only listen and love your body.

      • Deworm regularly

Worms in our bodies  can cause loss of appetite so to prevent this deform after every 3 months,  deworming tablets can be found in the chemist near you.

      Have a lovely day ahead

      Lots of love.
